Emaillen pans are made by melting a kind of glass at 840 degrees on a base of iron. The result is a pan with a smooth, non-porous surface that does not release any substances. For example, substances will never be pulled from the pan into the food, resulting in pure food with a pure taste. - Maintenance and use - The Riess pans can be cleaned in the dishwasher . Before you put them in the dishwasher, briefly rinse with warm water. Put dry in the cupboard after use. This is not to damage the enamel layer not wise to with hard objects , abrasive or scouring pads to get started, this creates matt spots or damages . Do not heat the pans without contents, the bottom can deform. If the pan is still hot, do not rinse with cold water, let it cool down or rinse with warm water.
